Who it’s for

Who it’s for

Running in two languages badly is worse than running in one language well: broken or missing hreflang tells Google your English and French pages are duplicates of each other instead of two intentional versions; machine-translated content reads badly to people and ranks badly with search engines; and most agencies can execute in one language, leaving the other to a translation plugin bolted on afterward.

This is for you if

  • Your French business is expanding into English-speaking markets, or your English-speaking business is expanding into France.
  • You’re a Brittany-based business — like this one — serving both French and English-speaking customers.
  • You’ve discovered hreflang or duplicate-content problems the hard way, usually via a traffic drop nobody could explain.
  • You want one team handling strategy, execution and reporting in both languages, not a handoff between an agency and a translator.

What’s included

What’s included

  • Full hreflang audit and correct implementation across every page pair.
  • Duplicate-content and canonicalisation review across language versions.
  • Native-quality content strategy and review in both English and French — not machine translation.
  • URL and site-structure strategy for multi-language sites (subdirectories, translated slugs).
  • Search-behaviour research specific to each market — French search habits differ from English ones, term for term.
  • Ongoing bilingual reporting, in the language you prefer to read it in.

How we work on this

How we work on this

01

Diagnose the current setup

Most sites we audit have hreflang implemented incorrectly, not missing entirely — we find exactly where the signal breaks.

02

Fix the structure

hreflang, canonicals and URL structure get corrected so search engines see two intentional, connected language versions, not duplicate content.

03

Build the content strategy

Each market gets its own keyword and search-behaviour research — a literal translation of the English keyword list is usually the wrong French one.

04

Report in both languages

Reporting happens in whichever language you'd rather read it in, from the same underlying data.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Can't we just auto-translate the site and add a plugin?

You can, and it's usually why sites end up here. Auto-translation plugins don't fix hreflang, don't research market-specific search behaviour, and machine-translated text reads badly enough that both readers and Google discount it. The Hreflang & Structure Audit exists specifically to show you what that approach actually costs before you commit to a retainer.

Do you translate our existing English content into French, or the reverse?

We write and review content natively for each market's search behaviour rather than translating line by line — a direct translation of an English keyword list is usually not the French one people actually search.

We already have a French site and an English site as separate builds. Can you still help?

Yes — this is common, and it’s usually where the worst duplicate-content and hreflang problems live. We can work within two separate builds or recommend consolidating, depending on what we find.

Which languages do you cover beyond English and French?

English and French are where we operate natively. The Multi-Market tier can extend the same structural discipline to other language pairs, scoped on a case-by-case basis — ask on the call.

Two markets, one team. Book a call, in either language.
