How we actually work, step by step.

Not a claim. A method you can read before you commit to anything.

Our 4-step method

Our 4-step method

01

Baseline

We measure where you actually stand before we suggest anything.

What happens
We establish exactly where you stand today — rankings, technical health, content coverage, link profile, whichever apply to the scope you’ve bought.
What you provide
Access to analytics and search console where relevant, and 30–60 minutes on a kickoff call.
What you receive
A written baseline, in plain language, before any work starts on top of it.

02

Plan

A prioritised plan, scoped and priced, not a vague roadmap.

What happens
The baseline becomes a prioritised plan — ranked by effort versus impact, not just a list of everything that could theoretically be done.
What you provide
Sign-off on the plan, or questions about it — we’d rather adjust it now than mid-engagement.
What you receive
A scoped, sequenced plan you could hand to someone else and have them understand it.

03

Do the work

The same senior consultant plans it and does it.

What happens
The same senior consultant who scoped the plan does the work — audits, content briefs, technical fixes, outreach, whichever the service covers.
What you provide
Timely access or approvals where the work needs them (e.g. CMS access, content sign-off).
What you receive
Ongoing visibility — you’re never waiting a month to find out what happened.

04

Report

A monthly report you could hand to your accountant, not a dashboard screenshot.

What happens
Every month (for retainers) or at delivery (for one-off projects), you get a written report: what changed, why, and what’s next.
What you provide
Nothing — this is our job.
What you receive
A report you could hand to your accountant or your board, not a dashboard screenshot with no explanation attached.

03

The monthly report

A printed monthly SEO report on a desk with a pen.

This is a real monthly report — the client's name and numbers removed, everything else exactly as delivered.

We can't show client names or figures without permission we don't have. What we can show is the format itself: what's covered, how it's structured, and how plainly it's written. If this is roughly what a report should look like to you, that's the point.

04

What you receive

What you receive every month

  • A written report — what changed, why, and what's next, not a login to a dashboard.
  • Keyword or ranking movement, reported honestly, including where something dropped.
  • A record of everything delivered that month against the scope you're paying for.
  • A running list of what's queued for next month and why it's prioritised there.
  • Direct access to the consultant doing the work — not a support ticket queue.

05

Tools & cadence

The tools we use, and when you'll hear from us

We work from Google Search Console, GA4 and a standard set of crawl and rank-tracking tools — nothing exotic, nothing that locks you into a platform you'd lose access to if you left. Retainer clients get a written report once a month, plus ad-hoc contact whenever something needs flagging sooner — we don't sit on bad news until the next scheduled report.

06

A working session

Two people at a table with printed pages.
A working session, not a boardroom pitch — this is what a strategy or review call actually looks like.

07

Process questions

Process questions

What if the plan needs to change mid-engagement?

It sometimes does — search doesn’t hold still. We’ll flag it, explain why, and agree the change with you before acting on it, not after.

How much of my time does this actually take?

Kickoff is usually 30–60 minutes. After that, most months need only a short review of the report and, occasionally, an approval or two. We scope work to need minimal ongoing input from you unless you want more involvement.

What happens if something in the plan isn’t working?

We say so in the monthly report, explain why, and adjust the plan. A report that only ever shows good news isn’t an honest one.

Can I see a full sample report before I sign anything?

The anonymised excerpt above on this page is what we can share publicly. Ask on the discovery call and we can walk through a fuller example live.
